What I do
One piece of your product, done properly: research, design, the system, the shipped UI. And a way of working your team keeps after I leave.
Start with the question
Interviews with the people who will use it, and the real data behind it. At Wallarm eight interviews changed what the product was for; at Schneider 41 electricians did.
Draft in Claude Code first
Intent, a short spec, the risks and edge cases, written down in Claude Code before opening a design tool. It compresses the time from ambiguity to a direction the team can argue with.
Prototype and build in code
Concepts built from the product's own components with real states, so what gets tested is what could ship. Figma stays for exploration and the final craft, code for the thinking.
Craft it in Figma
Typography, layout, the components and every state of them, so what ships is designed rather than generated.
Co-create with PMs and engineers
UX requirements defined with the PM early, then inside the engineers' codebase and their review. I write UI, not core code, and I stay through QA and release.
Test, then decide
Real users, real data, quick rounds. The decisions that come out of them go into the spec, not into a meeting.
Leave the system behind
The design system set up so a designer and an engineer look at the same thing, and a way of working the team keeps after I leave.

- Redesigned Security Edge, the managed deployment new customers meet first. It had been built developer-first and needed someone from support on the call to set up.
- Designed Infrastructure Discovery from eight interviews to a shipped product, and wrote its UI in the team's React codebase, merging my own work as merge requests.
- With the design lead, documented the design system precisely enough for an AI agent to build correct UI from it. Prototypes were real components with real states, in front of users in days.

- 15 interview participants across five roles, and a design system that kept 160+ screens consistent across all three surfaces.
- The case shows the design as delivered. What shipped after the engagement ended was a long way from it. That is the last time I let production be someone else's problem.
